Eyebrow dye
Coloring of eyebrows is a process during which special dyes are applied to the eyebrow area, which are absorbed into the hairs, if the dyes are kept longer, they are also absorbed into the skin. The effect of tinted eyebrows lasts for about 2-4 weeks depending on the skin and the type of dye.
Eyebrow tinting process
Mixing: prepare the eyebrow dye according to the instructions on the package. Mixing instructions vary depending on the brand of product purchased, but the result is the same. One application will require about 2 cm of color and 10-20 drops of eyebrow dye oxidant (depending on the size of the eyebrows). The mixed tint should have a thick paste consistency. The composition of a creamy consistency keeps the dye on the eyebrows and does not get into the eyes. If the mixed mixture is too runny, thicken it by adding dye and mix well.
Application: immediately after mixing, apply the mixture to your brows with an applicator stick, angled or flat brow brush (whichever you prefer). Try to apply the color from the inner side of the eyebrow (the side closest to the nose) and sweep towards the thinner end. Remember that to achieve an even result, the eyebrows must be completely covered with the mixture from root to tip. No visible hair should remain. If you make a mistake while applying, immediately remove the color from the skin with a damp cotton pad. The faster the dye is removed, the easier it is to remove the color.
Holding: usually the time of action of the dye is from 5-10 to 20 minutes. However, the usage time varies from person to person, depending on the individual hair structure. Usually, the minimum holding time is 3 minutes and the following rule applies: the longer the tint is left on the eyebrows, the more intense the result. However, note that red shades take longer to develop.
Removal: Use a damp cotton pad to wipe the dye mixture off your brows. If warm water does not help, you can clean with a small amount of face toner or a special eyebrow dye remover. Then check if the eyebrows are the same color. If you are not satisfied with the intensity, you can reapply the dye or color locally missed areas. And if the eyebrows are too dark, what to do? Don't panic! Wet brows always look darker. Also remember that the tint usually starts to fade after a week, so the color will not be as intense.
