Eyelash extension training

Eyelash extension training

Whether you're a brand new lash artist, fresh off a lash extension course, or a seasoned lash professional, it's always a good idea to practice your lash extensions. After all, practice makes perfect. Below we will provide you with a way to practice eyelash extensions from the comfort of your own home.

How to practice eyelash extensions at home?

1. Get everything you need in one place with an eyelash extension kit. You will find basic eyelash products such as: false eyelashes, eyelash glue, tweezers, eye tapes, eyelash primer, eyelash glue remover. The more you practice eyelash extensions, the more familiar you will become with the tools you use.

2. Set up an eyelash extension practice corner. In this designated area, you will be able to store the mannequin head for training along with the eyelash extension tools. If you have a cosmetology bed, use it as a base.

3. Now it's time to apply the eyelashes. A useful tip for novice lash artists is to practice gluing eyelashes on a sponge. You might think this sounds crazy, but hear us out! The sponge allows you to clearly see everything when applying each lash. You can practice placing at the right angle and practice your accuracy using a daily makeup sponge.

4. The eyelash extension mannequin head is the closest to a real person. So, it is a great tool for training. Place the mannequin's head on a couch or chair; then check your posture. Here are some tips to avoid straining your head, neck and back when you get eyelash extensions:

- Place the mannequin's head as close to you as possible so you don't have to bend too far to reach it.

- Place the bed at such a height that you can sit up straight.

- Keep both feet on the floor, lean on the bed.
